Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for complete beginners to Word and candidates who are self-taught and feel that they may have ‘missed’ some of the short cuts to creating documents.

The course is entirely 'hands on', so delegates will get practice in creating and modifying actual documents.

Course Objectives:

To provide candidates with a basic understanding of the Microsoft Word application.

The course contains a structured series of practical demonstrations and exercises that will include all the basic principles involved in using a word processor.

At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

·    Load and unload the Word application
·    Understand all the relevant screen information
·    Navigate through a document
·    Use the autocorrect option
·    Enter and edit text
·    Move and copy data within a document
·    Format the text within a document for visual impact
·    Insert page breaks
·    Insert headers and footers
·    Use the ruler and set tabs
·    Use bullet points
·    Use the tools provided to check for spelling and grammar errors
·    Produce printed output of their document
·    Save the document
·    Use the online Help facility

Course prerequisites:

Limited mouse and keyboard skills required
