Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for candidates who have attended the Introduction course or have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the basics of Word.

The course is entirely 'hands on', so delegates will get practice in creating and modifying actual documents.

Course Objectives:

To provide delegates with an understanding of the more advanced principles involved in using Word.

The course contains a structured series of practical demonstrations and exercises.

At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

    Use the document map to navigate through large documents
    Insert and create AutoText entries
    Insert comments
    Insert bookmarks and hyperlinks
    Use columns within documents for added effect
    Create and edit tables
    Manage mail merge documents to produce mail shots
    Produce and edit charts within Word
    Create forms and templates
    Use some of Word's more advanced features
    Understand the principles of using macros to automate their work

Course prerequisites:

A good basic knowledge of Word or completion of the Introduction to Word course.
