Microsoft Excel VBA (1 day)

Who Should Attend?

This course is suitable for candidates who would like to use VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to enhance their use of Excel for a more professional result. A thorough understanding of Excel formulas and functions is required. A prior knowledge of Visual Basic is not required.

The course is entirely 'hands on', so delegates will get practice in creating and modifying actual visual basic examples.

Course Objectives:

To provide delegates with an understanding of how to create and use macros and to use the VBA programming environment to add more functionality to their worksheets.

The course contains a structured series of practical demonstrations and exercises.

At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

    Write and edit macros
    Assign a macro to a button
    Understand the VBA environment
    Utilise some basic programming skills
    Understand the creation and use of variables
    Understand and use advanced 'If' statements
    Understand and use 'For' loops
    Create input forms to control user input
    Understand and use form controls
    Run and debug programs

A thorough understanding of Excel formulas and functions is required.
